Travellers' Questions

What every traveller should know before entering the gates of the fiefdom

How can I obtain my Salvaconduct (entrance ticket)?

Purchasing is done exclusively online through our dedicated portal. We rely on Ticka, a certified and secure ticketing system, which guarantees a fast and secure transaction. Once you have completed your purchase, you will receive the ticket saver directly in your inbox.

No paper consumption is necessary. To cross the threshold of Baronìa, simply show the barcode or QR code of your Salvacondotto directly from the screen of your smartphone (just make sure you have a charged battery and the right screen brightness).

Baronìa is currently a fascinating “living construction site” under construction. The first available Salvaconducts concern access to exclusive founding events, such as the “Laying of the First Stone” ceremony and the first guided tours of the archaeological site. The development of the village will take place in stages, which we will communicate in good time.

Tickets are issued for specific dates and events. Unless the event is cancelled by the organisation (in which case a refund is guaranteed), tickets are non-refundable. However, through the Ticka system, it may be possible to transfer the ticket to another traveller. Please read the Terms and Conditions when purchasing.

Absolutely. Young squires are welcome at Baronìa. The educational trails, the stories of our characters and the experimental archaeology activities are designed to enchant and educate travellers of all ages.

Our goal is to make history accessible. Although it is a natural, rural environment located in Contrada Fontanazza, we are preparing the main paths to be accessible to people with reduced mobility and pushchairs. If you have specific needs, please send us a missive before your visit.

We have provided a large parking area at the edge of the feud, a short distance from the main entrance. The parking area is clearly indicated by signs once you reach Sant'Angelo Muxaro, allowing you to leave modernity behind before plunging into the 13th century.

Your faithful four-legged companions are allowed inside the open-air areas of the fiefdom, provided that they are kept on a leash at all times and cleaned up. For safety and security reasons, access may be restricted in specific workshops or during re-enactments with the presence of village animals (such as horses or cattle).

Yes. As work on the village progresses, the “Taverna” and the Perellus bakery will offer refreshments to visitors, serving rustic dishes and drinks inspired by the Sicilian medieval tradition, using local and zero-kilometre raw materials.

Each Salvacondotto purchased is a brick added to Baronìa. The project is supported by the PNRR (Ministry of Culture), but the maintenance of the village, the organisation of events and the care of the farmland also depend on the active participation of the community and visitors. Your presence is an integral part of our rebirth.
